For some time now, our new elfjoy gift bags have been decorated with this photo of a lichen... for many days in August, every day I came to one place in a certain forest and photographed what was happening there before dusk. At first glance, my attention was drawn to the shimmering cornflower and blue hydrangeas in this forest, but my adoration for the trees led my gaze closer to their branches, fabulously covered with lichens. Gestures, a humid summer forest, full of peace, the best balm, good moments - the phone is turned off for a few days, great luxury, there are many photos but it turns out that those taken in peace, with the internal volume turned down, allow you to see differently

The lichen described in Merlin Sheldrake's book "Entangled Life" is a separate, individual love entity - a combination of fungi and algae into one - the fungi provide a protective structure, shape, and the algae nourish - a beautiful romance in which bacteria also take part.
